Question for folks who have gone (or purchased ticket voucher). From the looks of it, you buy a voucher, which you then redeem online for a ticket, correct? Can you buy the voucher now, but fill in the attendee ticket details at a later time? I'm going to buy, but there's the off chance I won't be able to attend, so I'd like to give the ticket to someone else. The ticket holder needs photo ID to get in, so they obviously can't use my ticket. So I'd have to wait until I know for sure to claim the voucher, or put the other developer's information in.
Can that be done? Or do I need to claim the ticket at time of purchase? Based on the recent track record of WWDC selling out in a week, I'd like to make the purchase ASAP. Thanks.

It was not available to purchase for people living anywhere in New York City, or any of the suburban zip codes in Westchester County or northern New Jersey that I tried.There seems to be some confusion, however, over the cause of the move, with a customer service representative initially stating that "New York is not ready for the iPhone" and that it doesn't "have enough towers to handle the phone." Such an explanation, while a bit surprising, was not considered completely illogical, as New York City has been a common source of complaints from consumers regarding network performance, and AT&T has acknowledged (http://www.macrumors.com/2009/12/09/atandt-addressing-network-performance-in-manhattan-and-san-francisco-high-bandwidth-users/) that it is looking to improve service there.

I sure hope that Apple does a bang up job of updating Mail.App for Leopard. I like the GUI to Mail but have to admit that it causes me a lot of grief that I've never experienced before with other mail clients...

depends on who you are. my bill with 500 more minutes and rollover, 1500 text and unlimited data is only $7 more than yours. of course I have had my voice plan for almost 8 years
and tmobile is simply awful
Only your [minority] opinion. I have been a customer of T-Mo for more than a decade, and I have no complaints except coverage in remote areas (which might be alleviated only with a satellite phone). My 1,000 family minutes and 4 phones and 2 datas cost $177/month, btw.

I had this on my Verizon iPhone. Last night, clock went back an hour instead of forward. Looked into clock settings, but decided to wait & see if it fixed itself by morning. Next morning, clock still incorrect on my lock screen, until I went to the home screen, then it corrected itself. Lock screen now good too.

Why are some people here so outraged that there weren't any MBP updates? Remember: this is a photographer's event.
Not all of Apple's releases need to be a fanfare event. Remember a couple years ago when they said they were trying to get away from that? Yes. So we'll see new MBPs and maybe MBs soon enough. Maybe "next Tuesday" as you are all so fond of saying.
Until then, please have patience. I am tired of wading through the adolescent whining about MBs and Merom. Get some patience!

Import the CD, then click on the Browse button (top-right, look like an eye).
Scroll down the album menu to the album. Select it and key Apple-I, it will ask you if you want to edit multiple items, you say yes, and then enter the name you want in the artists field...

Several people I know there *didn't* get the student discount. Its my understanding now that Apple don't offer the educational discount in stores on software but only on hardware and that they don't offer the HE discount at all in stores.
Lyra, you're right about the apparel store, if they'd done that I'd have spent some more moneys for sure!! There were several hot girls that asked what we were doing too, a pair of very nice girls came and chatted to us for a while and then convinced the door staff to let them buy an iPod Touch at the front door. They didn't judge us too much for being there. Quite a few people came up and asked us what we were queueing for and upon hearing what it was about, pulled a disgusted face and walked off. :(

Haven't heard anyone mention about the email performance of .mac. I have two accounts and you can never depend on email arriving promptly. I've sometimes waited several hours for email to show up.

I just use map quest application. It is a free application and offers voice-based turn by turn directions with street names and all. Traffic updates really aren't worth the extra $40 if you ask me. And half the time I shut off the screen and just listen to the voice direction to save battery life, so 3D maps are a mute point with me...
I use the MapQuest app as well but I do miss all of the other functions and features of a full fledged Navigation app/device.
Anyone know if there is a jailbreak version of this app or will it not work because it is authenticated on the server side?

My uni campus is at regent street five minutes away so I will be there very early maybe 1pm or just see when people start to gather. I ordered mine online already but I still want to join the party :D
